Paint Your Imaginations!! - A quick guide for coloring your life spaces.

The home ambiance is all about having the feel of safe , secure and comfort. It is the only place you wanted to be whenever you are tired or need a good relaxation. The interiors, artifacts, structures, show cases, interior lights etc constitutes to this level. Your home is one of the center points of your life, a place of enjoyment and of sanctuary. As such, you’ll want a home that reflects who you are.

When decorating, the smallest details can make a difference in the image you present. An important part of those details is the colors you choose to use in decorating the interior of your home. The right color palette helps to complete the room in a way few other decorative elements can.

The Wonder Castle

We all know that color has the power to transform an interior. But how do you use it? A fresh coat of paint is the easiest way to make a change at home but choosing a color palette can be daunting and, at times, confusing. There are some scientific and logical methods on choosing the right ambiance for your home,

Develop a color palette for each room based on the room's specific use, the structure of the room, and the emotional impact you wish the room to make on the occupants. Use a favorite object from the room such as a rug or furnishing, or a decorative element such as a painting or vase on which to build the palette. Take the predominant color of the item and base the palette on that. Use the item color as the main color for the walls, and consider using complementary colors or shades of the same color to paint the wall trim, architectural details and ceiling.
Choose the right colors

Use lighter colors to make a room more welcoming for visitors. Orange and yellow colors invoke feelings of warmth, and are useful for living and entertaining areas. Green and blue shades are more calming and tranquil, and are suitable for home libraries or offices.Increase the shading of colors to invite a sense of vibrancy into a room. Add reds and violets for passion and stimulation. Be careful not to color the space too vibrantly though, as strong colors can overwhelm over time, reducing comfort within a room.

Incorporate every part of a room’s structure into the color scheme, from walls and carpets to ceilings and window treatments. Make sure all colors in the room complement one another. Include your room's furnishings and decorations in the color scheme. Watch out for any conflicting colors within your color scheme that may jar the balance of the room.

Test the appearance of your color choices in the rooms before actually applying the colors. Obtain a sample of each chosen color and place the sample on a neutral background piece, like a muted grey. Place the background and sample piece against the surface where you intend to apply the color so that you can get a sense of how it looks alongside the room’s furnishings. Test the appearance using varying light levels as well to determine how the room will look at all times.

Write down your final color choices for each room and leave the sample colors in place. Live with the samples in place for a week, to make sure you're absolutely comfortable with the colors chosen, changing them if necessary, before buying the paint supplies you need to apply your chosen colors to the wall surfaces of your home.
